Where does the data come from?
From public Pokémon Showdown replays of the Champions formats. It is not data from the official game: it is a sample of the battles people save publicly.
How often is it updated?
Every 10 minutes new replays are downloaded and the 24-hour and 7-day windows are recalculated. The 30-day window is recalculated every hour.
Why does it not match Smogon exactly?
Smogon publishes monthly stats from every ladder battle; MetaPulse only uses public replays, but has them from day one of a regulation. We track the difference every month.
Which formats does it cover?
Pokémon Champions VGC (doubles): the current regulation and the previous one while it is still played. Games from the same best-of-three set count once.
